Add a thumb throttle to your MADSEN bike. If ordered with a bike, we will add it for you prior to shipping. You will need to make sure that a thumb throttle is legal in the state that you live. Thumb throttles are not legal in all states.

The thumb throttle is exactly what I needed! I was having a hard time getting going if I had to stop on an incline with 3 kids in the bucket, especially at a busy intersection. The throttle gives just the boost I need to get going and kick into e-assist. I'm so glad I could add this to the bike. It makes me feel much safer! Madsen was super helpful in getting me set up with the throttle after I reached out to them about my concerns. Thanks!

Highly recommend this optional feature. It helps to get going and get my balance right away when the bike is fully loaded. Also good to get through yellow lights or other situations where I need a quick speed burst.
