Terms & Conditions
PAYMENT: Full payment, or financing through Affirm, is required to initiate an order from this store. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Amazon Pay, PayPal, and Affirm.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING: Shipping is currently free in the continental U.S. For any island or shipping that requires a ferry, there may be an additional shipping charge. All bicycles are shipped via reputable LTL freight companies. Please make note of any damage to the box on the shipping documents prior to signing for the package. Our bikes are packaged with extreme care, but just in case!
BACK-ORDERS and PRE-ORDERS: These items will be charged in full at time of purchase and will ship as soon as they are back in stock. Back-ordered and pre-ordered items may be delayed if manufacturing or shipping issues arise, and we will keep you posted on estimated times of arrival. Please feel free to contact us at any time with questions regarding your order.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: By purchasing a bicycle from MADSEN Cycles, you are agreeing to take full responsibility for your own safety and the safety of all of those who ride the MADSEN bike. This responsibility requires that you tune up your brakes as needed and inspect your bicycle each time it is ridden. It is your responsibility to determine the scope of your bicycle's limits and your individual riding ability, and ride within those boundaries - especially when carrying children and/or other cargo. MADSEN Cycles is not responsible for any accidents, even those attributable to bicycle design or mechanical failure of the bicycle and its parts. Do not purchase a bicycle from MADSEN Cycles unless you accept full responsibility for yourself and anyone else who rides the bike.
CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS: An order may be canceled within 3 business days for a full refund if the order has not been shipped. After 3 business days, the payment is "captured" and Shopify and or/Affirm does not refund its merchant fee on a canceled order. So after 3 business days, an order may still be canceled if it has not shipped, but the merchant fee will not be refunded. Shopify retains a 2.6% merchant fee and Affirm retains a 3.5% merchant fee. MADSEN Cycles does not retain any fee for a canceled order that has not shipped.
At MADSEN Cycles we are committed to our customers and we stand by our product. We are happy to work directly with you. Please feel free to contact us via email or call with any questions or concerns regarding your MADSEN product. If you need to make a return please follow the instructions below.
Returns or exchanges cannot be made on items more than 30 days from date of purchase. All Sales are final after 30 days. Call us 800-206-0941 and send an email to returns@madsencycles.com that includes your name, serial number from your MADSEN bicycle, and a description of the reason for your return or exchange. Please note that you are solely responsible for any liabilities or costs of shipping associated with a return or exchange. Also note there will be a 10% restocking fee for the returned purchase, plus the 2.6% merchant fee that Shopify does not refund.
If you wish to exchange an item for a different model or color, you must return the first item as you received it with original parts and packaging and place a new order. Replacements are shipped after the returned item is received by MADSEN Cycles.
Returned items that arrive damaged, used or otherwise not as-new and/or without original packaging will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may be eligible for a partial refund.
WARRANTY: Our warranty is awesome because we stand by our product and take care of our customers. For the original bike owner, we guarantee the frame and kick-stand for life against any manufacturer's defects and all other parts are warrantied for a full year (with the exception of tubes, tires, and chain). We are a small company and easy to work with - customer satisfaction is number one!
